"Affenstunde" is one of those rare albums to irrevocably change musical landscape in its wake. Spearheading the whole kosmische movement in 70's Germany it's also one of the first to make good use of iconic Moog synthesizer, ending up the only true electronic album in Popol Vuh catalogue.

Initially released in distant 1970 the record inspired a number of influential contemporaries (Tangerine Dream, Manuel Göttsching, Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze, David Bowie), moodier end of 90's ambient and techno establishment (Aphex Twin, Plastikman, Biosphere, Pete Namlock) and, most recently, new breed of primarily US synth-acts (Emeralds, OPN, Laurel Halo, Stellar Om Source...).

2013 reissue on Barcelona's Wah Wah Supersonic Sounds comes in full glory laminated gatefold cover with original artwork and features previously unreleased track "Betina", an insert with liner notes, photos and colour poster. Limited to 500 copies worldwide it is already sold out at source.

Below is the footage that can be considered the only Popol Vuh "music video" circa 1971 doing their hypnotic Moog magic.
